Easy Homemade Pizza

Quick and easy Homemade Pizza that can be altered to accommodate any of your favourite toppings for the perfect Weekend Fakeaway.


Makes 1 Pizza - Approx. 10"




Ingredients (Makes 1 Pizza - Approx. 10")


For the Pizza Sauce

  • 200g Canned Chopped Tomatoes

  • 2 Tbsp Tomato Puree

  • ½ Tsp Paprika

  • ½ Tsp Smoked Paprika

  • ½ Tsp Dried Basil

  • ½ Tsp Chilli Powder


For the Pizza Base

  • 1 Cup Self-Raising Flour

  • ½ Tsp Sea Salt

  • ½ Tsp Baking Powder

  • 1 Tsp Granulated Sweetener (or ½ Tsp Caster Sugar)

  • ½ Cup Greek Yoghurt (or Low Fat Natural Yoghurt)


Extra Ingredients

  • 75g Grated Cheddar

  • Your favourite Pizza Toppings

o (For the pizza in the picture, I used Mozzarella, Pepperoni and Basil).






Method


  1. Pre-Heat the oven to 190c (375f)

For the Sauce:

  1. Combine Canned Tomatoes, Tomato Puree, Paprika, Smoked Paprika, Dried Basil & Chili Powder together in a Blender

  2. Blend into a Smooth Sauce and set aside.


For the Pizza Base:

  1. Mix the Flour, Salt, Baking Powder & Sweetener, together in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Add the Yoghurt and combine to form a dough with your hands.

  3. Sprinkle a little bit of Flour on the work surface and roll out the dough into a Pizza Shape, about 10” in Diameter & 0.4cm thick. (It will rise slightly in the oven)

To Complete:

  1. Place on a sheet of Baking Paper and spread over some of the Pizza Sauce until evenly covered.

  2. Sprinkle on the Grated Cheddar

  3. Add your favourite Pizza Toppings

  4. Cook on the Middle Shelf of the Oven for 15-18 minutes.

  5. Make sure all the Toppings are thoroughly cooked, Serve and Enjoy.
